First English Lessons!

3-,4- and 5-year-olds have just started their English Lessons. They have several classes a week, which last between 30 and 45 minutes each day and are taught by Teacher Isa Dehem. This very first month the children will learn to introduce themselves, to greet other people…

And they will also learn new words about colours, animals, numbers, everyday objects or days of the week. Many of our students here in Escuelas Lápices already know these words because they learnt them in the past school year – but these lessons are perfect to bring all the words and expressions they used before summer back to their minds.

Every lesson is organised on the basis of a Song- and Game-Based Learning model so the children get familiar with the English words and expressions in a natural way, just as they do with the Spanish or the Valencian language. This method allows the children to learn and have fun at the same time by playing and listening to the music, unaware they are working the English language with each activity.
